Actress Pollyanna McIntosh (THE WALKING DEAD) makes her feature writing/directing debut on DARLIN’, in which she reprises her title role from Lucky McKee’s THE WOMAN. Read on to see the new trailer and the poster, plus info on the film’s release.
DARLIN’ will be released to select theaters (see partial list below) and VOD July 12 by Dark Sky Films. Lauryn Canny also stars in the title role, along with Bryan Batt, Nora-Jane Noone (THE DESCENT) and McIntosh’s WALKING DEAD co-star Cooper Andrews. The synopsis: “Found at a Catholic hospital filthy and ferocious, feral teenager Darlin’ [Canny] is whisked off to a care home run by The Bishop [Batt] and his obedient nuns where she is to be tamed into a ‘good girl.’ However, Darlin’ holds a secret darker than the ‘sins’ she is threatened with, and she is not traveling alone. The Woman [McIntosh], equally fierce and feral, who raised her is ever present and is determined to come for her no matter who tries to step in her way.”
DARLIN’ will open in the following venues, with more cities to be added:
