I dunno about you guys, but it seems like the light at the end of the proverbial tunnel has been flickering rather than steadily growing. With another Fall upon us and vaccination rates slowly climbing, the end is in sight – just not as close as we might like it to be. Leave it to longtime Rue Morgue collaborator Vincent Marcone (A.K.A. My Pet Skeleton) to put this feeling into art, with his new piece entitled “IS IT OVER YET?”
“I wanted to create a piece that would relate to how many of us are feeling during this pandemic,” says Marcone. “It has been dark, it has been lonely… but, there have been hopeful moments that I see as tiny lights hovering around us to indicate that the beginning of the end is near. And yet, it’s not quite over, and it may still take some time…. but those bits of light are what carry us through as we walk in the mirk of the night.”
