The monsters are human in the new shocker MONSTER PARTY, which just landed North American distribution and co-stars Virginia Gardner from the new HALLOWEEN. Read on for the info and a few exclusive words from Gardner.
RLJE Films has announced that it will release MONSTER PARTY in theaters and on VOD and digital HD November 2. Written and directed by Chris von Hoffmann, the movie also stars Julian McMahon, Robin Tunney (THE CRAFT), Sam Strike (LEATHERFACE), Erin Moriarty, Lance Reddick (FRINGE), Brandon Michael Hall and Diego Boneta.
“That’s a pretty cool one,” Gardner, who discusses HALLOWEEN here, tells RUE MORGUE. “It’s about these three broke teenagers; I play a pregnant stoner, and we trick our way into this rich family’s house and try to rob them for a lot of money. One thing leads to another and it turns out that they’re not who they seem, and it just goes down the rabbit hole. That film is pretty unique; it’s a blend of genres, but it also feels like a movie made in the ’80s, with that Tarantino flair.
“Chris von Hoffmann is a really cool director; I love that guy,” she continues. “He has such a specific vision for everything he does, and he’s a very interesting human being. He knows what he likes, and he has great pacing and action timing, and he’s just a very visual director. It’s gonna be stunning.”
