“DEXTER” set to cut up again in new Showtime limited series

And two of the key talent are coming back for the popular serial killer’s latest exploits.

Variety reports that Showtime has ordered a 10-episode round of DEXTER to shoot next year and debut in fall 2021. Michael C. Hall will return as Dexter Morgan, the blood spatter expert working for the Miami Police Department who has a sideline in meting out deadly justice against other serial killers, and former showrunner Clyde Phillips will encore as well. No plot details have been announced.

“DEXTER is such a special series, both for its millions of fans and for Showtime, as this breakthrough show helped put our network on the map many years ago,” says Showtime co-president of entertainment Gary Levine. “We would only revisit this unique character if we could find a creative take that was truly worthy of the brilliant original series. Well, I am happy to report that Clyde Phillips and Michael C. Hall have found it, and we can’t wait to shoot it and show it to the world!”
