Netflix’s “HIS HOUSE,” one of the year’s best horror films, gets a trailer

Praised at this year’s Sundance Film Festival, the horror drama is streaming in time for Halloween.

Netflix has released the trailer for HIS HOUSE, which premieres on the service October 30. Written and directed by Remi Weekes, from a story by Felicity Evans and Toby Venables, it stars Ṣopé Dìrísù, Wunmi Mosaku and Matt Smith, with veteran creature performer Javier Botet ([REC], MAMA, IT) as a key specter, music by Roque Baños (DON’T BREATHE, EVIL DEAD, THE MACHINIST) and makeup effects by PAN’S LABYRINTH Oscar winners David Martí and Montse Ribé). The synopsis: “After making a harrowing escape from war-torn South Sudan, a young refugee couple struggle to adjust to their new life in a small English town that has an unspeakable evil lurking beneath the surface.” Look for more on HIS HOUSE at this site closer to its Netflix debut.
