Now on Pre-order: Gutter Garbs’ Officially Licensed Screen Print For “Silent Night, Deadly Night”

Gutter Garbs, who is well known for officially licensed releases of John Carpenter’s The Fog apparel line, is back and in a Christmas spirit with SILENT NIGHT, DEADLY NIGHT: 35 ANNIVERSARY POSTER. This 18×24 inch screen print features the artwork of Tom “The Dude Designs” Hodge.

For those not familiar with the 1984 slasher, it follows the story of a young Billy who, along with his parents, go to visit his senile grandfather in a nursing home. Left alone for a few minutes in the room with the doting elder, Billy is told a tale of how Santa rewards the good and punishes the bad. Later on that night, Billy and his family happen upon a man dressed as Santa Claus, seemingly having car trouble. Seeing this, the family stops to give assistance, when they are attacked by the strange man.

Billy’s Parent’s suffer a bad fate but Billy runs off into the cold winter night, leaving his younger brother Ricky in the back seat of his parent’s car. Cut to years later, when Billy (who had been brought up in an abusive orphanage after his parent’s death),  is triggered into a psychological breakdown and dons the Saint Nick garb to go on a killing spree.

This non-traditional holiday film garnered some controversy in its depiction of Santa as a killer in promotional material. You can see how the screen print has built on the controversy by showcasing a bloody axe along with less than stellar critic’s reviews.

Gutter Garbs has this preorder up now, running through until November 11/19 ending at 6 PM EST Priced at $40 USD + shipping (This is a preorder item. Ships the week of 12/1 or earlier)

Give that horror fan you know a HO-HO-holy shit present this year that is sure to please, but just remind them to be good as Santa is watching.
