Kevin Bacon’s “FAMILY MOVIE,” “HENRY” 4K premiere and much more at Lincoln Center’s “Scary Movies”

Buzzy new terrors and classic chills are coming to the New York City venue next month.

Film at Lincoln Center has unveiled the lineup for this year’s “Scary Movies XIV” festival, which runs August 12-20. The lineup encompasses some of this year’s most talked-about fright films and an assortment of vintage favorites in new presentations, many with filmmaker Q&As:

  • Casper Kelly’s BUDDY: Wednesday, August 12 at 7 p.m.
  • Noah Stratton-Twine and Jake Kuhn’s THE PERIL AT PINCER POINT: Thursday, August 13 at 6:30 p.m.
  • Daniel Goldhaber’s CAM (world premiere of 35mm print): Thursday, August 13 at 9 p.m.
  • Raymond Creamer’s GOODY GOODY: Friday, August 14 at 6:45 p.m.; Monday, August 17 at 9 p.m.
  • Callum Devlin’s THE WEED EATERS: Friday, August 14 at 9 p.m.; Saturday, August 15 at 2 p.m.
  • Raymond St-Jean’s VEINS: Saturday, August 15 at 4 p.m.
  • Dave Boyle’s NEVER AFTER DARK: Saturday, August 15 at 6:30 p.m.; Wednesday, August 19 at 9 p.m.
  • Brian Damude’s SUDDEN FURY (U.S. premiere of new 4K restoration): Saturday, August 15 at 9:15 p.m.
  • Meekaaeel Adam’s THE TREK: Sunday, August 16 at 3:45 p.m.
  • John McNaughton’s HENRY: PORTRAIT OF A SERIAL KILLER (world premiere of 4K restoration): Sunday, August 16 at 6:30 p.m.
  • Josef Brandl’s SUPERBUHEI: Sunday, August 16 at 8:45 p.m.
  • Larry Fessenden’s WENDIGO (new 4K restoration): Monday, August 17 at 6:30 p.m.
  • Evar Anvelt’s SOMETHING REAL: Tuesday, August 18 at 6:15 p.m.
  • Carlos Conceição’s BODYHACKERS: Tuesday, August 18 at 9:15 p.m.
  • Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick’s FAMILY MOVIE (pictured above): Wednesday, August 19 at 6:30 p.m.
  • Sean Mannion’s THE THRESHING: Thursday, August 20 at 6:30 p.m.
