The filmmaker’s follow-up to NOSFERATU embraces the wild side.

Focus Features has released the first photo of Aaron Taylor-Johnson as the character known only as “Man” in WERWULF, which is coming to theaters December 25. Directed by Robert Eggers from a script he wrote with Sjón, it also stars Willem Dafoe, Lily-Rose Depp and Ralph Ineson, all encoring from NOSFERATU, along with Jack Morris and Bodhi Rae Breathnach. Described as “Robert Eggers’ most visceral and haunting experience yet” and “a harrowing tale of devotion, damnation and the devil within,” the movie is set in a 13th-century British village terrorized by a mysterious creature.
