The brood behind movies like the award-winning MOTHER OF FLIES will now be celebrated in their home state.

Since 2019, the Adams Family—John Adams, Toby Poser, Zelda Adams and Lulu Adams—have been crafting small-budget, big-ambition horror features in upstate New York, also including THE DEEPER YOU DIG, HELLBENDER and WHERE THE DEVIL ROAMS. Their unique collaboration is the subject of BLOOD & GUTS, a documentary by Carlye Rubin and Katie Green of THE (DEAD) MOTHERS CLUB and THE FAMILY I HAD, and Tina Grapenthin. The doc, which won Best Feature at this year’s Salem Horror Fest, has its New York premiere this Saturday, June 6 at BRIC (647 Fulton Street, Brooklyn) as part of the Brooklyn Film Festival; it will also be available to watch on-line. The synopsis: “The lines between real life and reel life are muddied in the story of the Adamses, an unconventional family who makes independent horror films. While they may vomit blood onto one another, lack boundaries and make frequent use of the f-word, they also face what every family must: change.” For more information and to order tickets for the BRIC showing and on-line viewing, click here.
