And she’s just as devious and murderous as any of her American counterparts.
VICTORIAN PSYCHO, which world-premiered last night at the Cannes Film Festival, will hit theaters across the U.S. September 25 from Bleecker Street and UK cinemas this fall from True Brit Entertainment. Zachary Wigon directed from a script by Virginia Feito, based on her novel, and it stars IT FOLLOWS and LONGLEGS’ Maika Monroe in the title role, along with Jason Isaacs, Ruth Wilson, Thomasin McKenzie (LAST NIGHT IN SOHO), Evie Templeton (WEDNESDAY) and Jacobi Jupe (Mike Flanagan’s THE EXORCIST). The synopsis: “When eccentric governess Winifred [Monroe] arrives at a remote gothic manor in Victorian England, her unnerving charm hides a deadly secret. Strange, unsettling incidents become harder to ignore as Winifred descends into madness, and her increasingly brutal acts shatter the calm of the estate. How far will this psycho killer go, and who will survive her wrath?”
