Here’s a director/star teamup we’re really excited about.
Deadline reports that Kathryn Newton (READY OR NOT 2: HERE I COME, FREAKY) and Nick Jonas will star in WHITE ELEPHANT for director Eli Craig (CLOWN IN A CORNFIELD, TUCKER AND DALE VS. EVIL). It’s the first film in a partnership between MRC, Radio Silence and Project X, aimed at creating “inventive and engaging horror and thriller projects.” Craig wrote the script with JT Billings; the logline: “Eight friends. One prize. Zero trust. Their annual festive holiday gift exchange spirals into a cutthroat game of Christmas carnage.” Radio Silence and Project X, which were behind the recent SCREAM reboots, are next rebooting THE MUMMY with Brendan Fraser and Rachel Weisz for Universal. Newton’s other genre credits include ABIGAIL, LISA FRANKENSTEIN, PARANORMAL ACTIVITY 4 and a recurring role on SUPERNATURAL.
