The neighbor from hell turns a holiday horrific.
Writer/director John Valley’s AMERICAN DOLLHOUSE has its world premiere at the SXSW Film Festival in Austin, TX on Saturday, March 14, followed by screenings on the 16th and 17th. It stars Hailley Laurén, Kelsey Pribilski (MAN FINDS TAPE), Tinus Seaux, Danielle Evon Ploeger and Richard C. Jones; the synopsis: “A woman [Laurén] inherits her childhood home, seeking solace from a chaotic city life marked by addiction and debt. Unbeknownst to her, a psychotic neighbor [Pribilski] becomes disturbingly obsessed with her due to a haunting resemblance to the neighbor’s deceased mother. As the fixation turns violent, her friends begin disappearing one by one, drawing her into a perverted, bloodsoaked Christmas nightmare she may not survive.”
The movie was shot in Austin with an entirely local cast and crew, and Valley says, “Premiering at SXSW is a real dream come true for me. This film was made by real artists and technicians for the love of the craft, so debuting it here, in front of this audience, is incredibly meaningful.”
