This ensemble just keeps getting better.
Blumhouse has announced that Diane Lane will star alongside previously announced Scarlett Johansson and Jacobi Jupe in THE EXORCIST, writer/director Mike Flanagan’s new take on the horror classic. Described as “an all-new story set in the EXORCIST universe and…not a sequel to 2023’s THE EXORCIST: BELIEVER,” the film is being produced by Blumhouse-Atomic Monster, Morgan Creek Entertainment and Flanagan’s Red Room Pictures. Jason Blum and David Robinson are the producers, with Alexandra Magistro and Ryan Turek as executive producers. It will film in New York City this year, with theatrical release set for March 12, 2027 by Universal Pictures. Lane has won multiple awards and nabbed an Oscar nomination for Adrian Lyne’s thriller UNFAITHFUL; after early roles including Francis Ford Coppola’s THE OUTSIDERS and RUMBLE FISH, her feature films include STREETS OF FIRE, A WALK ON THE MOON, THE PERFECT STORM, THE GLASS HOUSE, UNDER THE TUSCAN SUN, UNTRACEABLE, MAN OF STEEL and LET HIM GO, and among her many TV credits are LONESOME DOVE, CINEMA VERITE, HOUSE OF CARDS and FEUD: CAPOTE VS. THE SWANS.

Great actress DIANE LANE.
Always brings class and integrity to a project.
Great to see her getting something high profile.
