Romero Foundation et al. present a free 35mm “SHIVERS” screening in Toronto this week

The David Cronenberg classic is being honored with a 50th-anniversary showing.

The University of Toronto, in conjunction with the George A. Romero Foundation and the University of Pittsburgh, is hosting a free 35mm screening of David Cronenberg’s body-parasite shocker SHIVERS this Sunday, December 7 at 6 p.m. The show will take place at Toronto’s Innis Town Hall at Innis College (2 Sussex Avenue). There will be a series of lectures before the movie and a panel discussion afterward, featuring guests including Suzanne Romero, Professor Adam Lowenstein of University of Pittsburgh’s Horror Studies Center, horror journalist/filmmaker Chris Alexander and others.
