The latest from the team behind FOUNDERS DAY and SHE CAME FROM THE WOODS will spread the fear on Halloween.

Cineverse and its horror division Bloody Disgusting have announced their acquisition of SELF-HELP, the new fright feature from Mainframe Pictures and filmmakers Erik and Carson Bloomquist. Mainframe will release it nationwide on October 31, with “Mischief Night Sneak Previews” October 30, followed by digital distribution via Cineverse early next year. Erik directed and he and Carson scripted the movie, which stars Jake Weber (DAWN OF THE DEAD), Landry Bender, Madison Lintz (THE WALKING DEAD), Amy Hargreaves (BLUE RUIN, BRAINSCAN), Carol Cadby, Blaque Fowler, Adam Weppler and Erik Bloomquist. The synopsis: “SELF-HELP follows a college student as she infiltrates a dangerous self-actualization community after her mother becomes entangled with its enigmatic ‘anti-cult’ leader.”

“The tireless team of genre fanatics at Cineverse have built a thrilling ecosystem, and we’re eager to contribute to their uncompromising filmography,” say the Bloomquists. The Cineverse team adds, “SELF-HELP represents everything we love about horror: fearless storytelling, visceral gore, and disturbing imagery that stays with you long after the credits roll. We’re delighted to be bringing Erik and Carson’s next film to audiences across North America.”
