The slasher opus is based on a real-life accident-prone water attraction.

TRACTION PARK MASSACRE, written and directed by Adam Dubin and Douglas diMonda, is inspired by New Jersey’s Action Park (a.k.a. Mountain Creek), the site of numerous ride mishaps over the years, half a dozen of them fatal. (It was also the basis of the 2018 Johnny Knoxville comedy ACTION POINT.) Kai Thomas Schulz, Bodhi Schulz, Scarlett James, Jacob Kaufman, Helene Henry, McKalin, Tori Sen and Lucas Hyde star, and the soundtrack includes a number of classic metal songs as well as a score by Alex Skolnick of Testament. The synopsis: “TRACTION PARK MASSACRE is a modern-day ’80s-style slasher film about a group of young friends who meet a gang of outlaw bikers who meet feral twin psycho-killers in a notorious abandoned amusement park. It tells the bloody tale of the chaotic and charismatic Terror Twins, Otto and Emil Von Metzger as played by Kai Thomas Schulz and Bodhi Schulz, who inhabit the burned-out remains of Action Wonderland and hunt those thrill seekers foolish enough to attempt to find the remains of the abandoned park. Who will survive? Probably no one.”

The film will be previewed on Saturday, July 19 at 8 p.m. at Florida Supercon, which takes place at the Miami Beach Convention Center. The “Blood, Guts, and Glory: The Making of TRACTION PARK MASSACRE” panel will be moderated by The Syndicate’s Chris Elles Jr. and feature Dubin and diMonda providing exclusive behind-the-scenes footage, a breakdown of how the kills were filmed and more.
