The Bramford was a dangerous place to stay before Rosemary moved in.
APARTMENT 7A will begin streaming exclusively on Paramount+ (as part of its curated Peak Screaming collection) Friday, September 27 in the U.S. and Canada, Latin America and Brazil and on September 28 in the U.K., France, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Italy and Australia, following its debut at next month’s Fantastic Fest. Directed by Natalie Erika James of 2020’s excellent RELIC from a script she wrote with Christian White and Skylar James (based on Ira Levin’s original ROSEMARY’S BABY novel), and set in 1965 New York City, it stars Julia Garner, Dianne Wiest, Kevin McNally, Jim Sturgess, Marli Siu (ANNA AND THE APOCALYPSE), Rosy McEwen and Andrew Buchan.
The synopsis: “An ambitious young dancer, Terry Gionoffrio [Garner], dreams of fame and fortune in New York City, but after suffering a devastating injury, an older, wealthy couple [Wiest and McNally] welcomes her into their home in the luxury apartment building the Bramford. When a fellow resident and influential Broadway producer [Sturgess] offers her another chance at fame, it seems that all her dreams are finally coming true. However, after an evening she can’t fully remember, disturbing circumstances soon have her second-guessing the sacrifices she’s willing to make for her career as she realizes that something evil is living not only in Apartment 7A, but in the Bramford itself.”
