Complete specs and art: Lovecraft chiller “THE UNNAMABLE” finally coming to Blu-ray

One of the most-desired ’80s titles on Blu-ray is on its way at last, as Unearthed Films has announced the 1988 H.P. Lovecraft adaptation THE UNNAMABLE as the first in its new Unearthed Classics line. Read on for the full details and cover art.

Unearthed will unleash THE UNNAMABLE on Blu-ray and DVD October 9, featuring a new 4K scan of the movie from the original negative with DTS Surround and Dolby 5.1 soundtracks. Written and directed by Jean-Paul Ouellette, it stars Charles Klausmeyer, Mark Kinsey Stephenson, Alexandra Durrell, Laura Albert, Eben Ham, Blane Wheatley and Mark Parra, with makeup and creature effects by R. Christopher Biggs. The first 2,000 units of the Blu-ray will come with a limited-edition slipcover featuring new artwork, and the following Blu-rays as well as the DVD will feature the classic art. Special features are:

• Audio commentary by actors Charles Klausmeyer, Mark Stephenson, Laura Albert and Eben Ham, and makeup artists R. Christopher Biggs and Camille Calvet
• Video interview with actors Charles Klausmeyer and Mark Kinsey Stephenson
• Video interview with actor Eben Ham
• Video interview with actor Laura Albert
• Video interview with actor Mark Parra
• Video interviews with makeup effects artist R. Christopher Biggs and makeup artist Camille Calvet
