Today happens to be a significant day for crypto-related movies, in particular The Legend of Boggy Creek. The late film pioneer and director, Charles B. Pierce, will receive a posthumous award this evening as he is officially inducted into the Arkansas Entertainers Hall of Fame. The ceremony will take place at the Arkansas Governor’s Mansion where the award will be accepted on his behalf by his long-time friend and producer, Harry Thomason. Past inductees included Billy Bob Thornton and Johnny Cash.
