Monster Brawl hits DVD and Blu-ray in the States on June 12, but Knoxville Horror Film Fest — co-organized by the Southeastern contingent of the Rue Crew (me) — is bringing the pain this week with a special Knoxville screening on Friday, May 4. We think seeing a movie should be an event, so we’re pulling out all the stops on this one. See Jesse T. Cook’s crowd-pleasing fright-fight flick the way it was meant to be seen – with a room full of rowdy horror fans and beer that flows like red corn syrup in a cut-rate slasher movie. And since we don’t think there’s enough live wrestling in movie theaters these days, we’ve invited a pack of local wrestlers to set up a full-size ring and take it to the mat after the film – in full monster make-up, of course!
