RM’s Ghouls by Gaslight Halloween Party, streaming LIVE tonight!
Rue Morgue’s Ghouls by Gaslight 15th Anniversary Halloween Party is going down tonight in Toronto! We’d love to see you there in person, of course, but we realize that isn’t possible for those of you who are far away and either can’t afford your own telepod or are turned off by the possibility of slowing morphing into Jeff Goldblum (seriously, he sneaks into the damn thing every time you turn your back). Until they get the kinks worked out, though, you can join us virtually!
Starting tonight at 10 p.m. ET, we’ll be streaming live video from the party here. You can enjoy Psychic Surgery, Carrie the Absinthe Fairy, Victorian Torture Harp Séance, our legendary Midnight Costume Contest, Haunting Hymns by DJ Eric Von Eric and Tomb Dragomir, and the wacky antics of host Twitch Couvier, all in the privacy of your home. Creepy? Maybe. Awesome? Definitely. Finally, you can join the Rue Crew without having to drink a single drop of Kiefer Sutherland’s blood. I knew I should’ve waited…

It’s Hee-eere! Your Exclusive Sneak Peek at RM#121!
In the past, I’ve made reference to the arcane patterns, strange coincidences and recurring themes that seem to surface in the midst of us putting together each issue of Rue Morgue. These common threads aren’t necessarily planned and usually aren’t even apparent until we’re in the advanced stages of production. But what happened this morning while we were proofing the RM Digital version of the April issue definitely takes the cake…

Is it just a coincidence that he’s a Carpenter and his initials are JC? Rue Morgue is proud to announce John Carpenter as a guest at the 2012 Festival of Fear (Metro Toronto Convention Centre, August 23 – 26).
