I get a petty delight in mocking how consistently crappy CNN is, with its nonsense headlines, pointless coverage, bad research and glaring errors. They’ve really outdone themselves with a piece titled Horror Legends Back From the Dead, though. It’s a series of mini-profiles on Wes Craven, George A. Romero, Sam Raimi and John Landis.
Right off the top it claims: “’My Soul to Take,’ writer-director Cravens [sic] first movie since 1994 is due out spring 2010.” Considering how easy it is to go to the IMDb, how could the two writers – yes TWO – miss not only Cursed (granted, everyone would like to forget about that one) but THE ENTIRE SCREAM SERIES?!?
Apparently they also forgot that Survival of the Dead is Romero’s third Dead film in the last few years, as they don’t mention Land or Diary. If it doesn’t fit your thesis, just leave it out, right?
Anyhow, roll your eyes, sigh dismissively and grunt mockingly for yourself here.

You know, I have noticed that your publication always seems to be very critical of USA politics and programming. If you didn’t like the show and want to point out errors, fine.
But do so in a mature way. You come off as very whiny and juvenille in your writing.
I do think you need to be just as critical of your OWN country’s programming, radio and politics. If you don’t like CNN, don’t watch it. Tell us how many Canadian channels there are doing broadcasts on horror instead.
Like I’m sure they are so superior (NOT).
You lost an USA subscriber, because I am SICK of the constant WHINING that your mag does against the USA. You can’t stand hollywood or our politics and IT SHOWS IN YOUR MAG.
Your mag is supposed to be about horror, not taking pot shots at the USA.
Why don’t you take some shots at your own country?
Actually, we’re critical of everything in the horror genre, as the magazine’s mandate is to explore the genre. Most genre content comes out of the U.S., ergo…
Also, how does this relate to me pointing out that CNN sucks?
