It’s called Thanksgiving, and here it is, along with a sneak peek at some of the other faux-trailers (courtesy flimwad.com). Oh, and if you haven’t heard, Tarantino is planning a longer cut of Death Proof for Cannes.

Here’s a Turkish Phantasm II poster for sale on eBay right now. I imagine the word “phantasm” doesn’t translate that well throughout the world, so it’s no suprise that the film’s title is “Manyak II,” which, according to the Turkish-English translator I found online, means “maniac” or “manical” (sadly, not some half-human, half-yak centaur-like creature). [...]

In what a appears to be a premature April Fool’s Day joke, Michael Jackson is said to be in the process of having a giant robot of himself built, which would wander the desert near Vegas. From the Yahoo music news story: “Michael Jackson is in discussions about creating a 50-foot robotic replica of himself [...]

C.H.U.D. just unveiled the new poster for the U.S. release of Fido, and while it looks sort of cool, it comes off as a rather tranparent attempt to capitalize on Grindhouse fever. With the current trend of making every horror movie poster look like Saw — all dirty and scratchy — on the wane, it’s [...]

I caught this trailer for Dead Fury on Frank Sudol’s MySpace page. It’s the follow-up feature to his Flash-animated City of Rott, which was released a little while ago by Unearthed Films. Judging by this clip, I’m pretty sure this is the goriest thing ever created in Flash. Thankfully, all that zombie hack ‘n’ slash [...]

We stole this pic from the CBC site in their photo section (that’s the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, for our non-Canuck readers). It’s a fantastic zombie shot from last week’s CineMacabre night Fido premiere at the Bloor, here in Toronto. If you want to see a truly horrifying pic, though, go to the CBC page, here, [...]

I’ve been keeping my good eye on the development of a Jaws documentary called “The Shark Is Still Working” for a while. I had almost forgot about it when I re-visited their website only to find out Universal still isn’t convinced their Jaws doc is any different from the ones on their many editions of [...]

When I lived I Edmonton I’d go fishing in the North Saskatchewan River, a big, muddy body of water winding through the city, collecting run-off and crap flushed down the sewers. I wouldn’t eat a fish out of the North Sask, but there were large walleye, goldeye, pike and a variety of other fish living [...]

As reported in a story on CNN.com, a poster campaign for the upcoming horror flick Captivity has been halted after the posters, featuring “images of the abduction, torture and death of a young woman”, used in its ad campaign drew public outcry. Apparently, the posters were not approved by the MPAA – which is standard [...]

We’ll see soon enough how Grindhouse did with the censors but over at the Wired Blog Network, Page 6 broke down some scenes from the highly anticipated film to a mathematical formula. Click here to read on!

I thought I would share some recent t-shirt designs commissioned for the local psycho-billy outfit The Creepshow. I was in London Onterrible for their St. Patty’s Day gig and they unveiled three new designs by yours truly. The place was packed to the gills and we had a blast! Check out their website at http//www.thecreepshow.ca [...]

And the Horrorfind Hotness winner, as voted by Abattoir readers: Mr. Lucky McKee. It was a landslide for Lucky, but how could it not be? I mean, c’mon, he’s the total package. From top down: that gorgeous thick hair says, “I just spent the morning surfing,” the glasses are like, “but I was in the [...]
