On Aug. 8th, the legendary screen actor Karen Black departed our mortal sphere, leaving behind an incredible body of work and a dizzying assortment of eccentric and diverse characters.
Back in 2009, the beautiful and talented Ms. Black dropped by the Rue Morgue Studio of Homicidal Fetish Dolls to talk about her one woman show, My Life For A Song which she performed for two nights in Toronto at the Gladstone Hotel.
Excerpts of the interview ran on Rue Morgue Radio back in the day but for the first time, here’s the full length version, never before heard in its entirety.
Ms. Black’s visit to Rue Morgue Radio ranks easily in my top ten outstanding radio misadventures to date.

And don’t forget! On Sunday, August 25th @ 4 p.m. in Room 701B @ the Toronto Convention Centre, the Rue Morgue Podcast will make its first appearance at the Festival of Fear since the notorious Lance Vs. Lance encounter in 2011.
We’re slotted in at the extreme arse-end of the con so if you can brave the stragglers, tumbleweeds and vagabonds and you haven’t collapsed from the ‘nerd’ flu, you’d be wise to make this your last stop of the Festival of Fear. This promises to be one of the more provocative panel discussions this year!
