You guys are fucking awesome for doing this, god bless RMR

  4. Moaner T. Lawrence says:

I’d rather the whole show would come back, but I will gladly take whatever I can get.

  5. Nick English says:

Is the show not available on iTunes yet? Or is it a problem on my end?

  6. James says:

Thanks so much for this. Love it. What is the name of the piece that begins playing at 1:26:01?

  7. FDBK says:

    The playlist is posted here:

And the show isn’t on the same iTunes feed as the Podcast – it’s available on the old Rue Morgue Radio iTunes feed.

  8. FDBK: I all but lost my will to live when Rue Morgue Radio went off the air. I haven’t been able to listen to the new show yet, but I thank you in advance. All I can say now is bring it back!!!

  9. Mister A says:

Holy shit! Holy shit! So happy to have RMR back in my life, even if it’s just a taste. Thanks Rue-Morgue!!!!

  10. Nick English says:

I hope I don’t get my ass kicked for this, but I’m kind of okay with the status quo. It’s not that I didn’t enjoy Rue Morgue Radio . . . I definitely did. But having only the podcast for a while now, then going back to RMR, I’ve realized that the interviews and the Caustic Critics were by far my favorite segments, and we get a healthy dose of both with the podcast.
Yes, I’ve discovered a few aural gems thanks to RMR, but by and large, most of the music Tomb spins isn’t really to my taste. (Kudos for the Motorhead this time around, though!)
Also, I’m not a goth, so most of Liisa’s segments weren’t really up my alley.
I think the podcast has even spoiled me to the point where listening to this special edition of RMR was kind of a slog to get to the good parts.
Again, that’s not to say that I didn’t like RMR. And I’d definitely be on board again if it was resurrected. But I’d certainly want the podcasts to continue as well.
As long as we still have Stuart and Lance, in whatever form, I think I’m gonna be okay.

  11. Feedback says:

Nick! You’re the extreme opposite of Jay Kern!

  12. Dark Mark says:

I finally got to sit down and listen to this show from beginning to end. My budgie Bela went nuts during the Romero interview. Another great show. May Rue Morgue Radio continue to be resurrected in the future!

  13. Nick English says:

I wouldn’t say I’m the extreme opposite, because I don’t hate Rue Morgue Radio with the passion that Jay despises the podcast. I don’t hate it at all . . . I LIKE it. I wish we had BOTH. But if I had to choose one or the other, I’m thinking I’d stick with the podcast at this point.
