Attention Toronto Horror Fans! Prepare to get edja-macated!
Andrea “Hellbat” Subissati and Paul “Canuxploitation” Corupe return to school us on The Black Museum. Partly inspired by The Miskatonic Institute of Horror Studies in Montreal, The Black Museum is a lecture series exclusively devoted to the advanced study of Horror Films. It’s kicking off this fall in Toronto at The Projection Booth East.
Plus, sometime over The Festival of Fear next weekend, Paul and Andrea will be joined by Miskatonic founder Kier-La Janisse and Rue Morgue’s Dave Alexander and Jim Burrell to conduct a panel presented by The Black Museum entitled Canadian Horror Revisited.
We also discuss the latest flick by William Friedkin, Killer Joe. Plus, we pontificate on some of the best and worst films we saw at this year’s Fantasia Film Festival in Montreal and preview some of the other upcoming Festival of Fear horror attractions, including what for my money has got to be the hottest ticket this year: Gore, Girls & Godforsaken Cinema hosted by Rue Morgue’s very own Gore-met, John Bowen and Last Chance Lance! Bring your own booze! Vomit Bags will be provided.
And if you’re planning to hit the FOF this year, make sure you say hello to Andrea. She’ll be at a lot of the panels recording them for the Rue Morgue Podcast. And if you’re a single man with an hour to kill, make sure you check out the Fan Expo ‘Speed Dating’ event coz you just might find yourself sitting across from Lady Hellbat herself.
