Disney, Diced and Doped

Mexican artist Rodolfo Loaiza is opening a new show at La Luz de Jesus Gallery in Los Angeles this week and I’ve gotta say, I like how the man thinks. Disasterland, which runs August 3 through September 2, re-imagines Disney princes and princesses in ways that might make them a little more relatable to horror fans – and pretty much everyone else on the planet. In Loaiza’s images, classic Disney characters are hacked up, boozed up, coked up and just generally fucked up in every way you care to name. (The piece posted above is called Blood Forest; the one at the end of this post is titled Never Sleep Again.)

There will be an artist reception on Friday, August 3 from 8-11pm. For more info about the show, go here.
