Prepare thyself for an epic two hour edition of POST APOCALYPSE!

The intrepid Last Chance Lance (friend to small animals, foe to full-grown humans) joins me to read some of the most intense letters we’ve ever received, to discuss some of your favourite horror anthologies, to finally reveal the winners of THE THEATRE BIZARRE DVD / Blu-ray contest and to definitively answer the (soon to be) infamous question:

Does ‘The Accident’ belong in The Theatre Bizarre?

This is possibly the most angst-ridden, heart-breaking and downright absurd installment of POST APOCALYPSE to date.

I’m not promising that we ‘Jumped The Shark’ with this one but we tried our very best.

Endure.

:- FDBK

This episode is dedicated to Sarah Ann Sine (1983-2012).

  1. Nick English says:

Wow, there I was, all ready to praise Lance’s previously undisplayed sensitivity, humanity and intelligence for his thoughtful response to the man who lost his wife and his comments regarding suicide during his description of what happens when people jump in front of trains. Then, for no good reason, he starts ripping into me. Oh well. Now I know why he chooses to work with the dead . . . because the living think he’s an asshole.

  2. FDBK says:

Don’t take it personally. It’s his way of showing affection. He’s gibbled. ;)

  3. Nick English says:

Not offended at all. I’ve been listening long enough. But you didn’t expect me to just let it stand, did you?

  4. FDBK says:

Good. Nevertheless, I will take great pleasure reading your comment on the next show! ;)

  5. Zombiecat says:

This is a great podcast! I am late to the game and have finally caught up to listening to all of the previous shows and I must say I have enjoyed every single one of them and am saddened by the fact that I missed out on so many great contests and message boards. But now that I am up to date I look forward to this new contest coming up as I am a fan of Hammer Films. Feedback you are a genius and listening to the podcast makes work so much more enjoyable, and the only way to make it better is to produce a show more then once a week. Keep up the great work and I can’t wait to listen in to next weeks show.

  6. Feedback says:

ZombieCat! Now that’s what I call a letter! (Try to learn from that, Mr. Kern….!)

I hope you sent this to the RM editors.

  7. Ashley O says:

Congratulations winners… you lucky bastards! Can’t wait for the next contest. I only hope I can keep my panties on listening to Lance’s charming and sensual discourse.

  8. FDBK says:

Wow. I can’t WAIT to read that last comment on the next POST APOCALYPSE. Lance’s head will explode (both of them.)

  9. Mike Tank says:

“‘It was stupid.’ What is this, DeadPit?”

Best Rue Morgue Podcast quote EVER.

  10. Mike Tank says:

And despite Douglas Buck’s articulate, concise, to-the-point, detailed and wonderfully eloquent analysis…I’m still not convinced that “The Accident” belongs in THE THEATRE BIZARRE. ;)

  11. Dark Mark says:

As ever a fascinating, erudite and occasionally hilarious show. The piece with Doug Buck literally had me crying with laughter!
