LOLLIPOP CHAINSAW Launches in Style in Toronto
[Ron McKenzie checks in with a report on the Lollipop Chainsaw pre-launch party.]
This weekend saw the pre-launch party for WB Games’ Lollipop Chainsaw (profiled in this month’s issue of Rue Morgue), and it was quite the gathering. A large crowd of horror fans, gamers and cosplay enthusiasts came out for the double-bill of George A. Romero and “the real Juliet Starling” herself, Jessica Nigri.
Accompanied by partner-in-crime/awesome lady Andrea “Hellbat” Subissati, I braved the shambling hordes to get some snapshots of the action.
The Line-Up of the Damned: definitely a Monroeville Mall vibe in the store.
A menagerie of zombies, all come to pay their respects to the king.
Romero and Nigri, all dressed up and ready to roll.
Lady Hellbat herself, Andrea Subissati, gets some
up-close time with the guests of honour.
Yeah, so THIS happened, too (yours truly is pictured in the center).
Hellbat rocks the controller at the Lollipop Chainsaw demo booth.

This is but a handful of the folks who got a photo-op with Romero and Nigri.
The line-up snaked all the way up to the store’s second floor.
It’s not often that we see George A. Romero without his trademark glasses.
This is one of those rare (and understandable) exceptions.
It goes without saying, but a good time was had by all. Keep your eyes peeled for an upcoming interview with the lovely Ms. Nigri right here on this little ol’ website.
