London's Night of the Long Shorts

For London, England’s Josh Saco, showing delightfully crappy horror movies for fun in his local pub helped birth the idea of a mini short film festival. This upcoming Saturday, the transplanted New Yorker whips the veil off of Night of the Long Shorts, a smorgasbord of brief cinema that features much horrorcentric fare, such as the grindhouse ode to Hammer horror and Mario Bava that is Queen of Spades; Halloween Before Christmas; Seance (which was screened at last year’s Festival of Fear); and Night of the Milk Beast to name just a few.

For more info, go here.

As of September, Saco will also be hosting/presenting midnight movies in one of the best independent cinemas in London, the Rio Cinema – debuting with Mario Bava’s classic, Danger: Diabolik and hopefully in 35mm.
